The intervention was conducted at the Margherita theatre (Bari) in connection with it is reopening to the public, occurred after about thirty years of restoration. The structure was restored just on the outside and only consolidated internally, has been surrounded along it is entire perimeter, by 120 smoke bombs that have been switched on several minutes before the opening without any permission, making this project to be on the boundaries of legality.
The illusion created by the enormous smoke cloud, which later invaded the center of Bari, remembers the fire of 1911, in this same theatre, previously constructed in wood. The project appears at a key moment of the Margherita theatre, it is re-opening, and through the spectrum of fire, recalls the rebirth of the “Phoenix".
Using the image of the performance a "souvenir card" was produced and printed in thousands of copies that the public could take for free at the entrance of the Margherita theatre.

L’intervento è stato realizzato al Teatro Margherita di Bari in concomitanza con la sua riapertura al pubblico, avvenuta dopo circa trent’anni di restauri. La struttura restaurata all’esterno e soltanto consolidata internamente, è stata circondata, lungo tutto il suo perimetro, da 120 fumogeni che sono stati accesi contemporaneamente alcuni minuti prima dell’inaugurazione e dell’apertura delle porte, senza nessun tipo di permesso, rendendo l’intervento hai limiti della legalità.
L’illusione prodotta dalla mastodontica nuvola di fumo, che è poi andata ad invadere il centro di Bari, ricorda l’incendio del 1911, di questo stesso teatro, costruito precedentemente in legno. L’operazione si colloca in uno dei momenti chiave dell’esistenza del Teatro Margherita, la sua riapertura, che attraverso lo spettro del fuoco, evoca la rinascita della “Fenice”.
Dall’immagine dall’intervento è stata prodotta e stampata in migliaia di copie una “cartolina ricordo” che il pubblico può gratuitamente prendere all’entrata del Teatro Margherita.
